What does Chromium do in the body?
Chromium is needed for normal metabolism of our macronutrients, so it helps to make energy from protein, carbohydrate and fat usable to the body.
Chromium also helps us maintain normal blood glucose levels.  Keeping our blood glucose balanced is important as our body and brain need a steady supply of glucose to make energy and function properly, so a blood sugar dip can make you feel tired and sleepy, and less able to concentrate or focus.

How can I take chromium?
Chromium in supplement form is most often found in piccolinate form.  It can be taken in a capsule or tablet or as a liquid as part of a trace mineral complex.  Chromium is found in most multivitamin and mineral supplements and blood sugar support complexes.  Taking a chromium supplement, either on its own or combined with other vitamins and minerals, can provide extra support to get your blood sugar back on track.
