Description
CoQ-10 is an antioxidant and coenzyme used by cellular mitrochondria to produce ATP - the bodys primary energy currency. Although it is found in small amounts in a variety of foods, the vast majority required for cellular energy production is made by the body.
Q10 levels tend to decline with age and might also become sub-optimal during metabolic stress and disease. CoQ10 is particularly important for cells of the the heart muscle. ALA has been described as an " ideal antioxidant" because it is active against free radical inside and outside of cells, as well as in aqueous and lipid enviroments. Studies indicate ALA protects cerebral, nerve and heart tissues from oxidative stress. ALA is also utilised in cellular energy metabolism.
As a food supplement for adults, one (1) softgel daily, preferably at mealtime, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. Do not exceed directions for use.
