Bio-Kult® is a unique 14 strain probiotic, expertly formulated to help the digestive and immune systems, which are closely linked to our optimum health. The beneficial bacteria in Bio-Kult helps to re-establish and re-balance the gut microflora. The supplements can help with specific conditions such as: antibiotic associated diarrhoea, traveller’s stomach, atopic dermatitis (eczema), leaky gut syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Bio-Kult is in a vegetable capsule which can be swallowed whole or pulled apart and mixed with food/drink. It carries no risk of overdose and is suitable for vegetarians.

A number of factors can substantially compromise the quality and quantity of the gut micro flora – such as stress, poor nutrition, pathogenic invasion and antibiotic therapy. An effective solution is to supplement the gut micro flora by taking a probiotic – a source of beneficial bacteria.
Since each Bio-Kult capsule contains 2 billion bacteria, it means that it can deliver a higher concentrated dose of good bacteria into your body. The Bio-Kult capsules are covered in a protective coating during freeze drying, which gives two main benefits. Since the capsules are coated, they are protected from the inhospitable acid environment of the stomach, and therefore are able to pass along to the intestines where they can be of most benefit.
Suggested Use
To help maintain a healthy digestive and immune system we recommend that you take 1-2 capsules twice daily with food. Bio-Kult may be recommended for help in specific conditions such as antibiotic associated diarrhoea, traveller's stomach, atopic dermatitis (eczema), leaky gut syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
If you are taking Bio-Kult with antibiotics we recommend a double dose taken separately from the antibiotic, preferably at opposite ends of the day, or at least 3 hours after the antibiotic. After finishing the course of antibiotics, continue taking Bio-Kult for at least 2 weeks.
Digestive disorders can vary enormously, from a mild upset caused by food poisoning to chronic disorders, such as Ulcerative Colitis. If you are taking Bio-Kult with these conditions we recommend that you seek advice from your Doctor or Health Care Practitioner for specific dosages suitable for your condition.
Bio-Kult capsules can be pulled apart and the contents sprinkled on to food, mixed in a drink or swallowed whole. Bio-Kult is completely safe, has no contraindications and carries no risk of overdose.
Travellers take two capsules daily for one week before travel. Increase to four capsules daily during travel. Continue to take for at least 2 weeks following the end of travel. If taking anti-malarials continue for at least 2 weeks after completion of the course.
The strains of bacteria are Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus Delbrukeii spp. bulgaricus, Lactobacillus Delbrukeii spp. lactis, Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus helveticus, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus salivarius spp. salivarius, Bifidobacterium breve, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium infantis, Bifidobacterium longum, Bacillus subtilis, Streptococcus thermophilus.
