Seminar Series: Nutritional Nuggets

Organised by the Centre for Complementary Healthcare and Integrated Medicine at TVU,
the Nutritional Nuggets is a popular Seminar Series held three times a year at Thames Valley University. These seminars are now open also to all Nutritional Therapists and those with an interest in the topics providing a unique forum to discuss current issues relating to the field.

Dr Marilyn Glenville has studied and practised nutrition for over 25 years, focusing on the natural approach to female hormone problems. Today she is recognised as the UK's leading nutritionist specialising in women’s health. Dr Glenville is the author of 8 internationally bestselling books. As a respected author on women's healthcare she gives regular talks on radio and has often appeared on television and in the press.
Dr. Lawrence Plaskett worked in education and the Biotechnology industry, before his interest in nutritional research, clinical practice and Chinese medicine led to his establishing, initially a multi-disciplined alternative medicine clinic, and eventually a holistic College for Nutritional Practitioners in 1982. This course is now part of Thames Valley University where Lawrence is a visiting fellow. He has written several books and many articles and newsletters on nutritional issues.
Alyssa Burns-Hill is a published author and works with television, radio and the press. She is also the Hormonal Health expert for the Complementary Medical Association, and for Today's Therapist. She is now also the Health Specialist at Bio Vitality Limited, a leading hormone specialist company.
