Welcome to Nutricentre (.com). We are a website dedicated to health, fitness and nutrition.

Why Nutricentre

  • Independent
  • Impartial
  • Informative
  • Inquisitive

Nutricentre was born out of a dire need for objective data and unbiased info on nutrition and supplements. As we saw it, most online websites had some angle behind what they were pitching to the visitors. Then there are websites like the other leading review sites, Wikipedia, WebMD and so on. But none of them dug deep enough under the surface for our liking. So we launched a better alternative.

The Nutricentre Mission

Our mission is to inform our readers as we would want to be informed. That means aggregating data from reliable sources, researching it, making sense of it all and patching it together in a presentable and most importantly understandable format. We believe that you can do all the research you want, but if you’re unable to communicate it in an understandable way, it’s just a bunch of text no one will want to read.

We’re a public service website that looks at the available research, we then use the acquired knowledge from examining this research to inform and educate our readers. We don’t venture too far outside this realm. It’s our purpose, to do the hard work for you, as there is a lot of stuff to read and not enough time.

What You’ll Find On Our Site

We primarily dig into nutrition and dietary supplements used alongside a daily whole food diet. We’ll publish on things like Branched Chain Amino Acids, creatine, fish oil, magnesium, nootropics, vitamins, and other minerals. While at the same time striving to inform you on the most common nutrition myths and how to avoid them. The importance of sleep and the right way to lose weight, among other things.

The Nutricentre Process

When it comes to publishing posts, we like to start by doing the research first, getting all the facts on the topic before we even look at any of the products. What good is a review if there is no background knowledge on the topic?

Once we feel confident that we’ve done enough research and are familiar with the topic in question we move on to the review portion, and finally once all the reviews are complete, we move to the ranking phase where we compare and contrast the contenders; eventually ranking them accordingly.

The research phase is the most important of all. Here we leverage the credentials, knowledge, and wisdom of our researchers. We look in-depth at highly reputable treasure troves of scientific journals such as National Institutes of Health (NIH), American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other similar ones.

Peer-reviewed research has a much higher standard than the marketing hyperbole out there. What’s more, we look at studies that used humans as the primary objects of the research and not animals or petri-dishes that leave room for guessing as to what the effects on actual humans would be. Once we feel we have enough research collected and ready to go, we move on to the actual marketplace products.

Reviewing products is also a time consuming effort. Unlike the research phase, where claims are cited and anything you question can be traced to the source and study behind it. Marketplace products ALL claim to be the best on the market, offer the most value and user benefits, and most will say they are the most cost effective solution on top of it all. If we are to believe the marketing hype, then we live in a world filled with nearly perfect products in high abundance. Yet we all clearly know, this is far from the truth.

Because supplements are not regulated by the FDA, it leaves a lot of room for companies to implement very creative marketing schemes. Some choose to misrepresent the truth, while other flat out spew lies.

When reviewing products we focus on:

  • Verifiable user feedback
  • Verifiable evidence in support of any claims
  • Whether any research has been conducted by the company
  • Whether this research is biased or unbiased
  • Verifying label claims
  • Company history
  • Ingredient usage and sourcing
  • Additives and/or toxins used inside product
  • Place of manufacturing (if known)
  • Customer service
  • . . . many other crucial factors.

Once we are confident we have done a thorough and objective product review. We move on to the next one on the list. After we’ve reviewed and composed the leading contenders, the next phase is to rank them.

By the time the ranking phase comes around, all the hard work has been done. Usually, it is not too difficult to see which product have clearly passed the previous two phases with flying colors, and which leave a lot to be desired. Still however, when it comes to certain products, there may very well be top ten very credible products. In which case the difference can be of a small nature.

We don’t have any bias towards the rankings we produce, but at the end of the day they are ultimately considered our opinion, a well researches opinion; but an opinion nonetheless. Thus, should you not agree with some of the placements our team published, we respect your right to do so. If you have evidence to provide in addition to your opinion as to why we should alter or flat out replace one or more of the items on a list, we would love to chat. Which bring us to the next point.
