Body Care

There are lots of ways to support and care for our body, both internally and externally. As well as eating right and getting regular exercise we can also care for our body by keeping our skin exfoliated and moisturised, protected from the sun and free from chemical products.

Regular massage or body brushing are also lovely ways to look after your body. It helps to support your lymphatic system, which is responsible for removing waste from our tissues. It also improves circulation which is also helpful to remove waste from the body. Dry skin brushing is also a nice way to exfoliate, as it will help remove dead skin, and unclogs pores. Using a dry skin brush also helps avoid putting any chemicals into the body.

Exfoliating is an important part of looking after our skin. Natural based scrubs are made out of using plant extracts and natural ingredients. 60% of what we put on our skin is absorbed so looking for natural products is always the best option.

Moisturisers: keeping our skin moisturised is key to healthy looking skin. We stock a range of moisturisers, and there are options for sensitive skin, young and ageing skin, as well as organic products to choose from.

Deodorants: Many standard deodorants contain heavy metals such as aluminium. Frequent exposure to such heavy metals can be toxic are they may be stored in your body to play havoc with your health. Check out our range of natural and aluminium free deodorants

Sunscreen: Prolonged sun exposure can be very damaging to our skin. Wearing a natural sunscreen that is mineral and/or zinc-based can offer protection and help avoid putting chemicals or synthetic ingredients on to our skin. Do remember that sunscreen will prevent your body absorbing vitamin D, so make sure you have some sun exposure without any sunscreen daily, ideally in 10 minute bursts.

If your sun does get damaged we also have natural after sun gel to help cool and soothe.
