The health of your hair is a true indicator of the state of your health. Yes, there is a lot that you can do internally to help build good hair, but there is also a wonderful range of natural products you can use externally to ensure the health and vitality of your hair. Explore our ranges of shampoos, conditioners and hair treatments.
Natural based shampoos are made out of using plant extracts and natural ingredients. 60% of what we put on our skin goes in our skin. When you add to that the factor hot water to open up our pores, suddenly artificial chemical laden shampoos do not seem like such a good idea.
Our shampoos are free from dangerous chemicals, and are earth friendly. They often contain plant extracts or essential oils for hair bliss, and for therapeutic reason. Some essential oils will help to guard against a nit infestation and may help to ease dandruff and dry scalp conditions.
We have shampoos that suit everyone’s needs. This includes for dry hair, normal hair and greasy hair as well as male shampoos and children and baby shampoo.
A wide range of conditioners made with natural products are stocked at NutriCentre. We believe in supporting the health of the hair by avoiding harsh chemicals whilst nourishing the scalp, eliminating irritations, promoting healthy hair growth with shinier locks from root to the ends. Formulations of conditioners are often infused with botanicals, herbs, roots, proteins, vitamins and minerals and plants. Organic conditioners and shampoos are also eco-friendly since they contain bio-degradable products.
Conditioners containing products like tea green, rosemary, or green tea, often work as anti-septic’s and anti-microbials, which help to reduce scalp irritations such as those that occur in dandruff. Neem oil containing shampoos have the added benefit of having fatty acids, which help to nourish a sensitive, itchy scalp; also ideal for hair that has been chemically treated and requires a boost in shine. Components commonly seen in conditioners which provide soothing and nourishing properties include jojoba oil, millet, oats, chamomile, coconut oil and avocado oil amongst many more. Cleansing and clarifying components include nettle and lemon.
Even with the best hair and skincare routine, there can still be times where a treatment may help. For example even if we are using organic and chemical free products, the limescale in our water, the sun and our sometimes nutrient poor diets could mean our hair lacks lustre and shine and our skin moisture and plumpness. This is where treatments and oil can be helpful. For example Argan Oil is great for hair and skin. It is also known as ‘liquid gold.’ It is native to Morocco and is superb choice for skin and hair. It is extremely rich in fatty acids especially linoleic acid, meaning the body can use it to produce prostaglandins, which are essential for the body to repair itself. It’s also high in sterols, vitamin E and omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids, all nourishing nutrients.
Rosa Mosqueta is popular as a skin repair treatment – Rosehip oil is a fabulous choice for skin problems such as eczema and psoriasis, especially as when applied it doesn’t leave any greasy residue. It’s very specific for scarring and to reduce pore size. Rosa Mosqueta oil contains extremely high levels of essential fatty acids especially omega 3 and 6, and with especially high levels of GLA. It also contains trans-retinoic acid which is related to vitamin A. This would help explain the effectiveness of Rosa Mosqueta in the treatment of damaged skin.
