Amino acid complexes are broad spectrum amino acids. Amino acids work synergistically in the body and are the building blocks of protein. They are sometimes found individually for therapeutic reasons.

The third category is non-essential amino acids. These can be produced in the body. Sometimes however we may need to increase the number of theses such as in muscle building or recovering from illness. Essential amino acids; Histidine, Isoleucine, Leucine, Methionine, Phenylalanine, Threonine, Tryptophan, Valine, Lysine Conditionally essential amino acids; Arginine, Asparagine, Glutamine, Glycine, Proline, Serine, Tyrosine Non-essential; Alanine, Aspartate, Cysteine, Glutamate Protein contribute to the maintenance of normal bones Protein is needed for a growth in muscle mass and for the maintenance of muscle mass.
Why do I need Amino acid complexes?
Some people may need extra amino acid supplementation. Athletes, sports people and body builders may benefit from taking extra amino acids to help them gain muscle mass. People who are underweight or mal nourished will also benefit from the extra protein to help them recover and provide the extra protein their body needs to grow or maintain muscle mass. Amino acid complex are best to be taken on an empty stomach with a carbohydrate rich snack such as a piece of fruit. If you take your amino acid supplement with protein, your supplement will have to compete with absorption.
