What are Energy Support supplements?
Energy Support supplements are designed to support the production of energy within the body.
What do Energy Support supplements do in the body?
Energy is produced in the body by a process known as the kreb cycle or energy production cycle. This happens deep inside the cell, in a tiny structure called the mitochondria. There are many nutrients required for a properly functioning kreb cycle, both directly and as co-factors. Some of the nutrients required in energy production are, the B Vitamins (B1, B2, B3,B5, B6, B12), biotin, vitamin C, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, calcium, cooper, iodine and iron. Most of these are involved directly in the kreb cycle, and iron is used in the transportation of oxygen around the body. If any ofther these nutrients are missing or not in adequate supply, the kreb cycle will be impaired and not work as efficiently as it could.
Some of the energy supplements contain herbs, such as Green tea, Korean Ginseng and Spirulina, as these have been traditionally eaten and used to support energy levels. Some of the other nutrients and herbs included in energy supplements are Caffeine, Taurine, Creatine and CoQ10.
Why do I need Energy Support supplements?
Our current lifestyle is so demanding both psychically and mentally. Sometimes we all need that little extra bit of support. We need to provide our bodies with the raw materials for the energy production cycle, and sometimes support our adrenal glands to maintain a steady energy flow.
How do I take Energy Support supplements?
Energy Support supplements come in capsules, tablets and powers - which are to be added to water or smoothies. It is best to take them after breakfast and/or lunch. Any time after this and they may keep you awake at night.
